Terms & Conditions
By submitting your device to The Tech Stop, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Manufacturer Warranty Disclaimer
The customer acknowledges that manufacturer warranties may be voided once The Tech Stop performs repairs or diagnostics on the device.
2. Diagnostics Authorization
We may perform a limited diagnostic on the device in its current condition.
If we are unable to test the device due to its condition or if the customer declines detailed diagnostics, the device will be treated as “Powered OFF,” and we will not be responsible for any undiscovered or additional issues beyond the main concern.
3. Diagnostic Fee
A minimum diagnostic fee of $35 + tax applies to all repair evaluations.
This fee is non-refundable and non-exchangeable, regardless of whether the repair is completed.
4. Screen Replacement Disclaimer
If a device brought in for screen replacement shows messages like “Connect to iTunes” or “Device Disabled” after screen installation, this indicates a software issue. We are not responsible for any software-related problems.
5. Powered Off Devices / Password Protection
If the device is powered off, password protected, or the technician is restricted from performing a full diagnosis, The Tech Stop is not liable for any other issues not initially reported.
Customers who provide password-protected or locked devices acknowledge that any post-repair software/hardware issues are not the company’s responsibility.
6. Undiscovered or Additional Issues
Any undiscovered issues found after the initial repair or diagnosis will be charged separately if the customer agrees to proceed.
Technicians are not responsible for any fingerprint or screen impressions post-repair.
7. Unclaimed Devices
Devices not picked up within 30 days of the completion or delivery date will become the property of The Tech Stop.
We reserve the right to sell or recycle the device after the 30-day period. No claim will be entertained thereafter, and no refunds or part returns will be accepted.
8. Sales and Returns Policy
All sales are final. No refunds.
Accessories may be exchanged within 7 days if unopened and accompanied by the original receipt.
There are no refunds or exchanges on repair labor or replacement parts.
9. Water Damage & Fragile Devices
We do not guarantee the success of repairs on water-damaged or heavily damaged devices.
Devices that are fragile or already compromised (e.g., bent frame, exposed circuits) are repaired at the customer’s risk.
10. Data Loss Disclaimer
Although we take precautions, The Tech Stop is not responsible for any data loss.
We strongly recommend backing up your data before submitting your device for repair.
11. Third-Party Repairs & Tampering
If the device has been previously repaired or tampered with by a third party, we cannot guarantee full functionality, and additional issues may arise during service.
We reserve the right to refuse service if third-party damage is evident.
12. Customer Consent
By leaving your device for repair, you authorize The Tech Stop and its technicians to open and work on your device.
You agree that once the unit is accepted, you release the technician and repair center from any further claims or liability related to the device or its condition.
13. Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse service to any customer who does not agree with our terms or behaves disrespectfully with our staff.
